About UrMula
Last updated August 6, 2026
UrMula is a financial navigation platform for your money. We help you understand where you stand, see realistic routes toward your goals using truth, facts, and math, and make informed decisions. You are always the driver.
What UrMula is
A navigation system for your financial life. We translate your real numbers into a clear picture: where you are, where you want to go, what's helping or slowing you down, and the realistic routes between the two.
Everything is framed in plain language and honest math — no jargon, no hype, no pressure.
What UrMula is not
We are not a budgeting app, a credit-score app, a debt-settlement company, or a loan marketplace. We don't sell financial products, and we never earn a commission for steering you toward one.
We are not a financial advisor. UrMula gives you information and math; the decisions are always yours.
Our defining principle
“Approval does not equal improvement.” Qualifying for a loan, card, refinance, or settlement doesn't automatically make your life better. Every route is judged on its real impact — cash flow, stability, sustainability, and your goal — before it's ever presented as worthwhile.
How it works
You tell us your reality (income, cash flow, savings, debt) and your destination (your goals). UrMula calculates a Financial Health Score, charts routes toward your goal, and lets you simulate decisions before you make them.
As life changes, you reroute. A monthly Reality Report keeps you honest about whether you're improving, holding steady, or drifting.
How we make money
UrMula is free, supported by ads. A Premium plan ($12/month, or $120 a year) removes ads and unlocks multiple goals, unlimited simulations, and more detailed insights and reports. We never sell your data.
From the founder
UrMula was founded by Franklin Pimentel, a Certified Debt Specialist who spent three years helping individuals and families work through nearly $25 million in consumer debt. That work gave him an unusually direct view of how financial decisions are actually made — the tradeoffs people weigh, the pressure they feel, and the conflicting advice they're forced to reconcile when the stakes are personal.
What he saw, again and again, was not a motivation problem — it was a visibility problem. People weren't falling behind because they didn't care. They were struggling because no one had ever shown them the full set of roads in front of them: what their options actually were, how one decision rippled into the next, or how to weigh competing goals against each other.
One phrase stuck with him. After thousands of conversations, the most common way people opened was rarely about a product — it was, “I'm just calling to see what my options are.” That, he realized, was never really a debt question. It was a navigation question.
UrMula is his answer: a platform built to give people financial visibility instead of one-size-fits-all advice. Rather than being told what to do, you can see where you stand, discover the routes available to you, compare their tradeoffs, and navigate entire financial journeys — debt, homeownership, planned life events, business goals, and long-term growth — with clarity and control. Franklin's long-term vision is to build UrMula into a true Financial Navigation Platform — a system built on transparency, route discovery, and informed choice rather than recommendations.
“After helping people address nearly $25 million in debt, I learned that the hardest part was rarely the debt itself — it was not knowing what roads were available. People deserve more than financial advice; they deserve financial visibility. UrMula exists to help them see the road ahead and navigate it with confidence.” — Franklin Pimentel, Founder
